The TIES® Solution is the result of several years of research combined with the latest 3D manufacturing technology. It has been developed and manufactured in accordance with regulatory standards to ensure the safety of patients.
It consists of a small tube made of pure titanium surrounded by a porous structure which allows smooth optimal ingrowth with the body tissues. The tremendous development in 3D manufacturing technologies over the last decade has been a true game-changer for creating an optimal technical and biological design of the TIES implant. Using 3D technology, the implant is built up layer by layer into one solid piece. This produces a unique structure with optimized surfaces and enables the use of a material that is clean and without impurities. Together these factors promote reliable tissue ingrowth. The surgical procedure is straightforward and almost identical to the procedure used in conventional stoma surgery. The material the implant is made from is adapted to ensure optimum safety.
The TIES® implant consists of an external titanium ring with an internal porous surface structure which, with the help of 3D technology, is built layer by layer into a solid part using a pure material without impurities. TIES® has a unique structure with optimized surfaces to promote healing. These factors promote reliable tissue ingrowth and minimize the risk of infection for you as a patient.
