The TIES Continent Ileostomy Solution comprises The TIES Implant Port, TIES Lid and TIES Emptying Pouch intended to replace a conventional ileostomy. It allows a more carefree life for patients who suffer from intestinal diseases such as, Ulcerative colitis, cancers or other related diseases that necessitate removal of the colon (large intestine).
- The TIES Solution is the result of several years of research combined with the latest 3D manufacturing technology. It has been developed and manufactured in accordance with regulatory standards to ensure patient safety.
- The company was awarded the certification ISO 13485 Quality Management System for Medical Devices in 2011.
- To meet the added requirements under the new European Medical Device Regulation (MDR), an extended clinical study is ongoing to gather more data on performance, usability, quality of life and health economics.
- OstomyCure addresses a market estimated at USD 2 billion per year.

Professor Manish Chand

Professor Chand is a highly experienced specialist surgeon and global key opinion leader in the field of colorectal surgery, colorectal cancer, and robotic surgery. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and holds an PhD from Imperial College, London, and an MBA from the University of Leicester. Professor Chand has been closely involved in the development of OstomyCure’s TIES implant and has treated patients with the device in the company’s clinical trial.
